A RARE PAIR OF BURANO NEEDLELACE SLEEVE RUFFLES ca. 1780

This is a pretty pair of needlelace sleeve ruffles completely hand-made in Burano. The design is light and dainty.

The colour is a deeper cream than the photos show, with the patination of age. They have a small number tag attached, indicating that they were part of a collection, or in a museum.

Measurements: when laid flat; 35” long (89cm). Width; widest point 7” (18cm)

Condition: There is some age marking, and one darker mark. These are not rust, and may well disperse with treatment. I have not washed them.

Price: SOLD
