RARE AND BEAUTIFUL LADIES’ BLUE AND CREAM SILK BAG 1800 – 1810

A most unusual and rare ladies’ silk bag. It seems to be some kind of knitted work, and is lined with cream silk. Each side has a pretty picture on thick paper of a boy and girl. This is framed by gold embossed work. It has a fringed silk opening and silk ribbon handles.

Condition is excellent. A section of the gold embossed work is missing one side, but apart from this the condition is amazing for it’s 200 years.

Measurements: 9 ½” tall (25cm) (without ribbon handles)

Price: SOLD
