TWO BEAUTIFUL AND UNUSUAL BONNETS FOR A YOUNG GIRL. ENGLISH 1805-1815

The first of the bonnets is in a beautiful cotton, woven with a diamond shape design. The brim at the front is all hand worked in an intricate floral design of Broderie. There is a tie at the back and the the long ties are of robust cotton. Beautifully hand stitched, this bonnet is in excellent condition.

The second bonnet is quirky to the extreme! Lovely fine net with whitework, it has three "puffs" across the crown, which would most possibly fitted over an elaborate hairstyle. These fine net bonnets were very often worn at events such as meetings in the assembly rooms or even at a ball. Unusual, but very collectible and above all, pretty and feminine.
This bonnet is also in remarkable condition.

Both these would be for a girl or petite lady.
