A very dainty square light wool shawl, with corner decoration. The edges are in ochre, and there is a rather worn fringe.
This is an early shawl, and as such is quite rare. Pretty and with good colours. It was possibly made in India for export to the European market.
Measurements: 50" square (128cm)
Condition: Very good for the age. However, there are several small, neatly worked antique darns, and a few small openings. Not noticable when displayed. Overall strong.
