A LENGTH OF CREAM DRESS SILK WITH ROSES ca. 1780

A skirt panel of cream silk with a rose meander and dating from about 1780.
A very pretty design, typical of the late 18th century.

Condition: Very good. A few pale shadow marks, and slight weakness at the extreme top edge. Otherwise strong.

Measurements: 37” long by approximately 18” wide, selvedge to selvedge. (this is a skirt panel, so very slightly shaped)
