BEAUTIFUL ENGLISH PATCHWORK COVERLET 1820 – 1830

This interesting coverlet is made up of fabrics from the early 19th century – mainly dress materials, of beautiful and harmonious colors. It has a stunning chintz border typical of this period. The back is cream cotton.

An interesting documentary piece.

The condition is very good. There are several rosettes which have surface fragmentation, but these could be restored with antique fabrics. Otherwise, for the collector, they could be left – it is a matter of choice.
The back has some tea colored age marks, but I have washed this coverlet, so it is clean and fresh.

Measurements: 100” x 88” approximately. Suitable for a King size bed!
